DAVEIGH Chase is known for playing Samara in supernatural blockbuster The Ring. At just 12-years-old, the child star stepped into the terrifying role and has haunted horror fans ever since.
Samara, the villain of the movie, is a young girl who has psychic abilities. During the film, the character kills off and torments those around her - and ultimately reaches her grisly end by being thrown into a well.
In The Ring, Samara wears a filthy white gown, with long locks that cover a large portion of her face. Daveigh's portrayal of the antagonist was award-winning, as she scooped MTV's Best Villain of 2003 ahead of Colin Farrell and Daniel Day-Lewis.
After starring in The Ring, the US actress went on to feature in films including Yellow, Beethoven's 5th and Carolina. She has also picked up acting credits in TV shows Cold Case, CSI and Big Love.
