Fred Sirieix ‘crying’ as daughter Andrea wins another gold medal at Commonwealth Games

Commonwealth Games.The 50-year-old star – best known as the maître d’hôtel on ITV’s First Dates – is delighted to see his 17-year-old diver daughter Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix capture her third medal, having already won silver in the 10m synchronised platform event, and her first gold in the 10m platform diving competition.On Monday, the final last of the games saw Andrea and her partner Noah Williams triumph in the mixed discipline event as their fifth and final dive earned them 74.88 for a total of 333.06.Taking to Twitter, Fred congratulated his daughter alongside a shot of them both and a look at the learderboard.He tweeted: ‘It’s gold in the mixed #diving #10m #platform #synchro I’m crying! Andrea and Noah well done to you both (sic)’Alongside a clip of their dive, he added: ‘What a way to end #commonwealthgames’His fans were quick to send their own messages of support, with one follower writing: ‘Huge congrats. Of course we will fit down there."Fred was seen leaping from the vehicle as he was heard exclaiming: "I'm getting out of the car, I'm not being party to this, I'm getting out of the car."As Gino fails to navigate his way down Gordon is heard narrating saying "cars are allowed to drive safely down, but not crazy Italians."He is then seen demanding that Gino get out of the driver's seat and after reversing back up the hill as a crowd gathers to watch the chaos.Elsewhere in the show the trio were filmed getting the giggles after they consumed food laced with cannabis by-product THC.They then headed across the city to a rooftop where they took part in a gruelling yoga session with a set of young goats, giggling throughout it while still high from the edibles

Channel 4 star opened up about his battle with bowel cancer last September and has spoken previously about how he dealt with such horror health news.Merlin was told by doctors that he has a 75 per cent chance of living beyond five years following his recent bowel cancer diagnosis.Medical professionals at Northampton General Hospital discovered a stage three tumour that measured 4.5cm in length.The Channel 4 star has tried to stay positive since the diagnosis and has spoken about how he gets through.He said: "I’ve shed a tear in private."But you can choose ‘to do’ or ‘not to do’."I chose to lead my life as normal, to stick to the facts about it, and to keep putting one step in front of the other", he admitted to the Sunday Mirror.Merlin is the landlord of a pub with his partner Lucile, who he met over ten years ago at a cocktail competition, and they share one daughter, Alix.The pub opened in 2010 and is called The Priory Tavern in Kilburn.The couple's pub won Regional Cellar Keeper of the Year in 2015.In the interview, Merlin also revealed that he started feeling pain in June last year.However, he thought it was caused by scar tissue in his stomach from a car accident when he was 20 years old.Griffiths said: "I thought, as most people must when they get a diagnosis, ‘Oh f***, I’ve got cancer’."It’s terrifying – of course, I want to live."The first people who Merlin informed of his diagnosis was his partner Lucile, and First Dates star Fred Sirieix, Grant Urquhart and Cici Coleman.After the cancer battle, Merlin launched the first no alcohol bar with Harrogate Spring Water at Royal Ascot 2022.However, he was back in hospital this month due to complications with recent surgery.He took to Instagram to tell fans: "Last time
