Bring Me The Horizon are celebrating one billion streams, and are on course to top the UK album charts.The Sheffield rockers were confirmed as having hit the first milestone yesterday (October 1), when they revealed that they had surpassed one billion streams in the UK. To mark the occasion, frontman Oli Sykes was presented with a Billion Award by the BRITs.Taking to X/Twitter to mark the landmark occasion, the BRITs posted a photo of the frontman with the trophy along with the caption: “Following their first ever BRIT Awards win earlier in the year for Best Rock/Alternative Act, @bmthofficial receive their BRIT Billion Award for hitting one billion streams in the UK.”It comes as no surprise that the band managed to achieve the award this year, as their latest studio album ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’ arrived in May and went on to become one of their biggest releases to date.

Hozier and Pantera are among the artists proving popular with gardeners.According to a new study by First Saturday Lime Study which dug into the intersection of music and gardening, both the Irish singer-songwriter and US heavy metal band dominate Spotify gardening playlists as the most featured artists.The study analysed over 76,000 songs from Spotify playlists and surveyed 1,000 Americans before discovering some surprise revelations.Hozier’s ‘Too Sweet’ was the top song to feature on gardening playlists, followed by ‘Here Comes The Sun’ by The Beatles and ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ by Chappell Roan.Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs, meanwhile, were the top artists appearing on homesteading – meaning someone who lives self-sufficiently, usually by growing their own food – playlists on Spotify.But it was Noah Kahan‘s ‘Stick Season’ that came out as the top song on homesteading playlists.Among other findings was that 62 per cent of gardeners and homesteaders listen to music while doing so, while 56 said that listening to metal while gardening actually helps to reduces stress.However listening to heavy metal apparently does come with some potential risks, with one finding revealing that 20 per cent of people who listen to that genre of music while gardening accidentally kill their plants.Similarly, nearly one in four people who listen to EDM while gardening (23 per cent) reported a low yield of crops.Elsewhere, it was rap/hip-hop and pop that came out as the top genres on gardening playlists on Spotify, while country and pop came out on top for homesteading playlists.As for the song of the summer among gardeners and homesteaders, Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Not Like Us’ secured that honour.Another recent study found that metal proved

Bring Me The Horizon have released physical versions of their latest album ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’ and announced details for global pop-up events.The band – comprised of Oli Sykes, Matt Nicholls, Lee Malia and Matt Kean – have released their seventh studio LP on four different vinyl pressings including a 2xLP standard black pressing as well as a red pressing and picture disc. A deluxe version of the LP will also be available on a 2xLP marble pressing and will feature a 32 YOUtopia game booklet, printed OBI strip, folded band poster and a hype sticker.In addition to the vinyl pressings, a standard and deluxe CD will be available as well as a pink cassette variant and a white cassette variant.

Slipknot founding member and drummer Joey Jordison has settled its lawsuit against the band for profiting off his death.Earlier this year, the Jordison estate announced that it had filed a lawsuit against Slipknot in June last year claiming that the band continued to use Jordison’s name and personal belongings “in a travelling Slipknot museum called Knotfest and lined their pockets with profit off of Jordison’s devoted fanbase” despite promising that they would return his belongings to his family after he was fired from the band in 2013.Now, per a Blabbermouth report, Jordison’s estate has filed as of September 17 an unconditional settlement of the lawsuit. Details surrounding the settlement have not been made public.In the original lawsuit filed, Jordison’s estate also commented on the band’s reaction following Jordison’s death: “Perhaps worst of all, Crahan and [Corey] Taylor publicly lied to fans that they had contacted Jordison’s family to check on them and express their condolences and love for Jordison in the wake of his passing.
