Corey Taylor has discussed the way Slipknot wanted to make amends with Joey Jordison before the drummer’s untimely death last year.In an interview with The Fader, Taylor said the realisation that Jordison was no longer with them “crept in” as Slipknot worked on their latest album, ‘The End So Far’.“We dedicated the album to him,” Taylor said. “We hoped it wouldn’t happen, and when it did it was a sad resolve that… for somebody that creative and explosive.“I just wish we hadn’t lost him this soon.

Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has said there are “real misunderstandings” about how the band formed.During a recent interview, the musician said the three musicians who originally started the masked metal outfit were himself, late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray and lead vocalist Andrew Rouw (aka Anders Colsefni).This trio all contributed to Slipknot’s 1996 independent debut album ‘Mate. Feed.

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is suing the band, accusing them of profiting off his death and failing to return his possessions. Jordison, who founded the metal band in 1995 alongside Paul Gray and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, was fired from the band in 2013, with the band citing personal reasons.
