Kaytranada, Honey Dijon and Peggy Gou‘s DJ sets will be featured as part of Apple Music’s New Year’s Eve Livestream.The three DJs’ sets took place in a sold-out Brooklyn warehouse earlier this year and will debut on Sunday, December 31 at 7pm PT (3am GMT, 10pm ET) exclusively through Apple Music and the Apple TV app.Speaking about the event in a statement per Billboard, Honey Dijon said: A New Year’s Eve mix is a fresh start, we’re going into a new chapter so I try to bring that sense of lightness, freshness, joy, renewal, and fun.”She continued: “I just try to really bring my culture and my sound. Kaytranada, Jessie Ware and Vince Staples are among the first raft of names announced for next year’s edition of Sónar Barcelona. The music festival, which is known for highlighting dance and electronic music culture, is set to run from Thursday June 13 to Sunday June 15, 2024, and tickets are on sale here. Other names confirmed for the festival include Charlotte de Witte, who will bring her ‘Overdrive’ show to the site, Floating Points, Ben Böhmer live, Casisdead, Marie Davidson and Folamour.

Where last Friday’s schedule featured a short-notice set from a newly reunited Blink-182, Weekend 2 will see them taking the headlining role on Sunday, replacing Frank Ocean after he bowed out of Coachella 2023’s closing set following leg injuries he sustained on festival grounds before Weekend 1 (per his publicist).

Kaytranada made waves during his first set at Coachella 2023 today (April 14), bringing Aminé and Kali Uchis out for guest spots.Kali was first up to the mic, joining the Canadian beatmaker to perform vocals on an updated version of their 2019 collaboration ‘10%’ (which appeared on that year’s ‘Bubba’ album).

Aminé and Kaytranada have officially debuted their collaborative project Kaytraminé, joining forces with Pharrell Williams for a slinky and colourful track titled ‘4EVA’.The project was first teased earlier this week, but has been in the works for nearly a decade; the pair first linked up in 2014 after Aminé released a bootleg remix of Kaytranada’s song ‘Not At All’. The latter DJ then offered to make Aminé some of his own beats, leading to the pair collaborating on three songs for Aminé’s 2015 mixtape ‘Calling Brio’.A music video for ‘4EVA’, directed by Jack Begert, is slated to drop in the coming hours.

Kaytranada and Aminé are cooking something up called KAYTRAMINÉ. Precisely what is uncertain, but from the looks of a trailer released today (April 4), it looks to be a musical collaboration of some kind.

Kaytranada has teamed up with Anderson .Paak for a new song called ‘Twin Flame’.It comes with a slick, nineties inspired video that .Paak directed himself. The pair can be seen performing alongside one another in the video on an elevated platform, in a disused warehouse. Beneath them, people are dancing throughout the song.On Instagram, the raapper wrote of the track: “Linked back up with my brother @Kaytranada for another classic banger.

The Weeknd has shared a remix of his ‘Dawn FM’ song ‘Out Of Time’ by fellow Canadian artist Kaytranada.Kaytra’s version retains the glistening electronics of the original along with Abel Tesfaye’s distinctive croon, though it trades the groove-heavy bass guitar for a deep sub-synth and more active percussion.It arrives as part of an EP that also includes a much shorter radio edit of the remix along with the original and an instrumental version of the studio recording.
