LCD Soundsystem have been announced to headline London’s All Points East 2024. Check out the full line-up and ticket details below.The electro-punk icons, who headlined the inaugural edition of the festival back in 2018, will return to top the bill at Victoria Park Friday August 23 for the Bank Holiday Weekend.They’ll be joined on the day by the enigmatic Jai Paul – who returned to limelight with live shows this year – along with Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation of Language, a live show from Sofia Kourtesis and Eyedress.

Kaytranada, Jessie Ware and Vince Staples are among the first raft of names announced for next year’s edition of Sónar Barcelona. The music festival, which is known for highlighting dance and electronic music culture, is set to run from Thursday June 13 to Sunday June 15, 2024, and tickets are on sale here. Other names confirmed for the festival include Charlotte de Witte, who will bring her ‘Overdrive’ show to the site, Floating Points, Ben Böhmer live, Casisdead, Marie Davidson and Folamour.

Lazarus, a new series from Cowboy Bebop creator Shinichirō Watanabe.Per a report from Variety, Lazarus has been picked up for released on Toonami, though a release date has yet to be announced. The upcoming animated series is currently in production with MAPPA (Attack On Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen) on animation duties.Also contributing to the series is John Wick series director Chad Stahelski, who Variety reports has “designed several action sequences for the series”.

Find the full list of artists here.Ahead of the festival, Arcadia has announced that it will run entirely on recycled biofuels for the first time, including cooking oil and chip fat.Explaining the initiative, Arcadia co-founder Bertie Cole told DJ Mag: “With the current infrastructure that festivals run on it was clear one of the more efficient ways it could be done is by using a waste fuel to power all those bits of machinery.“But until quite recently, a lot of the biofuels that were available didn’t really have the provenance of components, like some of them had palm oils etc.

Floating Points – aka Sam Shepherd – has dropped a new single titled ‘Problems’, accompanied by an official music video.The track sees Shepherd collaborate with creative studio Hamill Industries (Pablo Barquín and Anna Diaz) on the official music video.Taking its lead from the electric pulses established in their prior collaborations on music videos for singles ‘Vocoder’ and ‘Grammar’, ‘Problems’ uses, according to a press release, “a technique called Vector Rescanning, they transform video into sound and turn it into a vector image, all in real-time”.Watch the dance-focused video for ‘Problems’ below:“‘Problems’ is meant to agitate every single room that its ecstatic sound waves reach”, Hamill Industries said. “We wanted to celebrate it with movement and dance and reshape it through sound, by using techniques that allow the sonification of images.“It was important that this video shaped the electrical feeling you get when being on a dancefloor, the urge of dancing when sound waves reach your ears.”As well as the release of ‘Problems’, Shepherd will also perform a headline set at London’s newest venue, Here, on New Year’s Day (Sunday January 1, 2023).

Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) released "Vocoder," his first single of the year, last month. It was also his first solo song since Promises, a collaborative LP with Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra that made The FADER's 50 best albums of 2021 list.

J-pop star has Hikaru Utada released her 11th studio album, BADモード, (BAD MODE). The record features three tracks produced by Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) and two produced by A.G.
