TikTok star Francis Bourgeois was in attendance at Sam Fender‘s recent Wembley show, where he was spotted on stage doing a tailwhip on a scooter.Fender is currently on tour in support of his new record ‘Seventeen Going Under’, having played two dates at London’s Wembley Arena on April 1 and 2.

Liam Gallagher has taken to Twitter to respond to the judge who presided over the recent trial of his son Gene.Gene appeared in court this week, where he along with Ringo Starr‘s grandson Sonny Stark and model Noah Ponte are accused of assaulting shop staff at a Tesco store during an alleged fight in May 2019.Prosecutors dropped the case and charges on the first day of the trial, meaning the accused would not be formally punished. They were criticised by judge Joanna Greenberg, however, who described them as “entitled” and said their behaviour was “completely out of order, no doubt as a result of having been drinking”.Prosecutors reportedly conceded that the Tesco staff involved in the brawl had “over-reacted”.

The Twilight Sad paid tribute to the late Scott Hutchison at their show in Glasgow last night (Friday April 1) by covering Frightened Rabbit‘s ‘Keep Yourself Warm’ with the band’s drummer.Yesterday, the Scottish band announced that their two hometown gigs at the Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom would see them joined by Frightened Rabbit’s drummer, Scott’s brother Grant Hutchison. Mogwai’s Alex Mackay also stepped in for Twilight Sad guitarist Andy MacFarlane, who was unable to perform “due to personal reasons”.The band have regularly covered ‘Keep Yourself Warm’ at shows since their close friend Hutchison took his own life in 2018.

Arctic Monkeys have shared their support for iconic Sheffield venue, The Leadmill, after the venue announced it was facing threat of closure next year due to its landlord issuing a notice of eviction.First opening its doors in 1980, the club hosted early shows from the High Green, Sheffield born band, as well as gigs from Kings Of Leon and The Killers.

Watch a clip from the show below.The band is preparing to release their highly anticipated debut album next week, and recently played ‘Chaise Longue’ on Late Night With Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show, before heading to Corden last night (March 31).Following an introduction, where Corden called the duo “phenomenal”, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers launched into the slowly building track, amid howls from the crowd.After the first verse, the tempo switches as Teasdale, rapidly chants, “Now everything is going wrong / I think I changed my mind again” before the beat drops and the song launches on.The performance also saw Teasdale and Chambers spinning around playfully to the sounds of their guitars.Speaking to NME in a recent Big Read, Teasdale described how she uses humour in her lyrics.“I always try to dilute serious things with humour, I think,” Teasdale said.

The Twilight Sad have announced that they will be joined by members of Mogwai and Frightened Rabbit for their pair of shows at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow this weekend.The Scottish band had originally been due to play the gigs back in April 2020, but they have been postponed a number of times since due to the coronavirus pandemic.The Twilight Sad will finally kick off the first of two nights at the Barrowland tonight (April 1), with a second show following tomorrow evening (April 2).Addressing their fans this afternoon ahead of the gigs, The Twilight Sad confirmed that they will be fielding a different line-up to normal. Guitarist Andy MacFarlane will not be performing this weekend “due to personal reasons”, so Mogwai’s Alex Mackay will be filling in in his place.A post shared by The Twilight Sad (@thetwilightsad)The continued impact of COVID-19 on international travel and touring has also ruled out drummer Sebastien Schultz, who is based in North America, from taking part in this weekend’s gigs.

New Order have launched a new official t-shirt in aid of the British Red Cross’ Ukraine Crisis Appeal.Available through the band’s official merch store, the shirt’s design was inspired by the VHS label of their Taras Shevchenko concert film, which was designed by the Peter Saville Associates agency.The gig in question was filmed in late 1981 at the Ukrainian National Home in New York City. The film was named after Taras Shevchenko, the 19th century writer, poet and painter whose works championed the formation of an independent Ukraine.You can purchase the white t-shirt for £25, with a minimum of £10 from each sale being donated to the Red Cross.Last November, New Order marked the 40th anniversary of their debut album ‘Movement’ by sharing the aforementioned NYC show on YouTube in its entirety.

Foals have shared their latest single, ‘Looking High’ – you can listen to the new track below.The song is the latest preview of the trio’s upcoming new album ‘Life Is Yours’, which is set for release on June 17.Having originated as a demo by guitarist Jimmy Smith, ‘Looking High’ came to life after Smith reunited with Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis and drummer Jack Bevan post-lockdown.Produced by John Hill (and featuring co-production by Miles James and additional production by A.K. Paul), ‘Looking High’, Philippakis explains, “is looking back to a more hedonistic time in my life, and a more innocent time in society in general, pre-pandemic and before the existential threat of climate change”.“It takes place in an alley in Oxford with two clubs – The Cellar and The Wheatsheaf – that all the city’s nightlife gravitated towards,” the singer added.“It was before clubs started to close down and our cities started to change into more corporate, arid places.

Florence + The Machine have shared a new Glass Animals remix of their recent single ‘My Love’ – listen to it below.Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley co-wrote/co-produced the original track alongside Florence Welch, and worked on F+TM’s upcoming fifth studio album ‘Dance Fever’ along with Jack Antonoff.Today (April 1) Welch and co. have released Bayley’s new take on ‘My Love’, which takes the song even further into the dancefloor realm via throbbing electronic drums, synths and glitchy vocal samples.“Wavey Davey did SO GOOD here,” Welch said while announcing the rework.

Liam Gallagher has shared a new single called ‘C’mon You Know’ – listen to it below.The song serves as the title track from the former Oasis frontman’s third solo album, which is out on May 27 via Warner. Alfie Templeman has announced he’ll be embarking on his first-ever run of Australian headline shows, set to take place in June this year.He’ll be making two headline appearances, on June 14 in Sydney and June 16 in Melbourne, while also supporting The Wombats on their Australian arena tour that same month. Bloc Party played an intimate show at The Garage in London last night (March 30), where they debuted some of their new material – watch below.The show was announced earlier this month, with a press release stating that the London gig would provide “a special, intimate chance to hear the band’s new material” for the first time. The gig also marked the band’s first live show since 2019.Bloc Party’s sixth studio album ‘Alpha Games’ is out on April 29.

Superorganism have dropped a new track called ‘It’s Raining’, featuring Stephen Malkmus – you can listen to it below.The track – which also features UK rapper Dylan Cartlidge – is the latest preview of the London-based pop collective’s forthcoming second album ‘World Wide Pop’, following the Stuart Price-produced ‘Teenager’.Speaking about the glitchy, hip-hop-infused new track in a press release, the band said: “We’ve been enormous fans of Stephen Malkmus forever, and we loved the idea of combining Malkmus and Scott Walker into a strange almost broken-sounding hip hop track.“We’d done a remix for Dylan Cartlidge and absolutely loved his flow; we asked him if he’d like to try a verse and he fit so naturally. Maggie Rogers has today (March 30) unveiled details of her new album, ‘Surrender’.The 12-track album will arrive on July 29 via Polydor and fans can pre-order the album here.The record, which was co-produced by Kid Harpoon and Rogers, is the follow-up to, ‘Heard It In A Past Life‘, which was released in 2019.
