A councillor has refused to apologise after reproducing an image showing the Prime Minister apparently about to be clubbed by a baton-wielding mounted policeman.Local Conservative politicians have called on the SNP to take action against Bannockburn ward councillor Alasdair Macpherson for the “threatening and abusive” image on his Facebook page showing Boris Johnson superimposed on a photograph taken during the 1980s miners’ strike.Councillor Macpherson first used the image - which he says is a widely shared media image from a national newspaper article - as his Facebook account cover picture in August.
This was changed on Tuesday of this week - a day before the date of a letter sent by Mid Scotland and Fife Tory regional MSP Dean Lockhart
