Council tax across South Lanarkshire will rise by 2.5 per cent as the new budget has been confirmed.The budget, which was drafted by the cross-party working group, sees an increase of 2.5 per cent as opposed to the original suggested 3.5 per cent.The level of council tax is property based, with homes being classified into eight bands from A to H – with band H properties paying more than three times the level as Band A.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
