Queens chief Wullie Gibson is preparing his on-form side for tonight’s clash with Partick Thistle and demanding another clean sheet. The clubs meet at Firhill on league duty and Gibson wants to keep his side’s momentum going after a fabulous start as interim player boss.Queens clinched an SPFL Trophy Trust final berth against Raith Rovers last week and then at the weekend hauled themselves off bottom slot with a convincing 3-0 home win over Morton.Gibson earned a standing ovation when he was subbed in the final minute of the Palmerston encounter by Kieran McKechnie. He said: “It was a good end to a good week.“But we have not achieved anything yet.

We go to Partick Thistle and we know the pitch will be tricky.“But it is the same for both teams. Partick like to pass the ball and play football, so it may affect their game.

We will go there and give it a go and hopefully get a result and keep the momentum going.“I set the players challenges all the time, in training and in games and the challenge now is to keep clean sheets and keep this momentum going.“If we don’t win the game then I want a clean sheet so we don’t lose the game.“Partick Thistle have been going well and are at the top end of the table.“We have got ourselves off the bottom of the table and now we can start looking up the league.“It was a good win over Morton and we were brilliant all over the park.

It was another win, another clean sheet and three goals in front of the fans.“I keep harping on about this but we are all in it together.
