A Sky News presenter fought back the tears as she spoke about the latest victims of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Kimberley Leonard started by speaking about tragic Gordon William Martin, an 87-year-old retired cleaner who left behind a loving family, in the report yesterday afternoon.
When she turned to another victim, 33-year-old Pooja Sharma, the tear-jerking story started to have an effect. “Pharmacist Pooja Sharma died a day after her father, both passing away from Covid-19,” Kimberley said.
She then pauses as her voice starts to crack, before continuing: “Paying tribute to their friend, her loved ones said her laugh was contagious and that she gave her friends nothing but love, support and a tummy ache from all the laughter.” The
