Sir Alex Ferguson has visited the Manchester United training complex amid mounting pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ferguson and the former United chairman Martin Edwards are understood to have been present at the club's Carrington training ground, where Solskjaer arrived early this morning for the first-team's training session.
Sources insist Solskjaer is still on borrowed time as United manager but the club have failed to identify a replacement. Solskjaer verbally agreed to replace Jose Mourinho as caretaker manager two months prior to his appointment on December 19 2018.
Solskjaer flew to Manchester in October and attended United's 1-0 home defeat to Juventus in the Champions League group stage.
