Sex offender told 'good for you' by judge for abiding by court order

A sex offender who breached a court order received for planning to meet a 13-year-old girl was told "good for you" by a judge for rehabilitating.

Michael Hudson, 50, who was pictured outside court making rude gestures, was given a suspended prison sentence last year for communicating to who he thought was a child online.

In fact, she was a woman volunteering for a support group seeking to identify and report sex offenders. He was made subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) governing his contact with under-16s and internet use, and went on the sex offenders' register, both for 10 years.

He completed 30 days' rehabilitation activity and a treatment programme. But, as Teesside Live says, Hudson breached the SHPO by not notifying
