Russia recovers body of dead general a month after they were killed and allegedly mocked

The corpse of the general who is believed to be Major General Oleg Mityaev, 47, a commander of the Russian army's 150h motorised rifle division, was recovered by Russian forces.The body had been laying there for weeks after Mityaev was killed in an ambush in Mariupol almost a month ago on March 15, with Russians alleging that Ukrainian troops had been mocking the body.Russia usually refuses to confirm the death of generals in battle but Ukraine's defence ministry has claimed seven Russian generals have been killed in action.
The first to be killed is said to be Major General Magomed Tushayev, killed two days into the invasion on February 26. The most recent death is said to be Lieutenant General Yakov Rezantsev, a commander in Russia's 49th combined army, who was killed in a strike near the southern city of Kherson on March 25.
Pro-Moscow Wargonzo Telegram reported that Ukrainian troops from the 36th brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces had cooperated in an operation "to evacuate the body of our high-ranking officer from the Illich factory in Mariupol."The report did not give the name of the general but did give his rank.The Telegram continued: "After yesterday's operation to eliminate a neo-Nazi breakthrough from the Illich plant, the surrendered Ukrainian marines not only shared information about where the general's body was, but also volunteered to participate in the DNR People's Militia's operation to evacuate it. "Namely, they acted as guides and showed a safe route."For a long time the neo-Nazis refused to hand over his body or report his whereabouts.
