A Ukrainian soldier surveys the scene, finding two heavily decapitated bodies mangled by the impact of the collision with the ground, and charred from fire. One Reddit user on a Ukraine thread shared the video and wrote: "Video of crash site and deceased crew looks like [they were] eaten by animals.""One fighter told me the Russian forces had set the helicopter on fire after it crashed," New York Times visual investigator Christiaan Tribert tweeted.

Reacting to the post on Reddit, one commenter said: "The fact that the Russians leave their soldiers and airmen to be eaten by wildlife like this pretty much sums up the level they operate at, and gives me great reason to believe they will lose, and lose badly."Another added: "If Russian mothers knew the whole truth they would take care of Putin themselves."A third said: "Thank you Russian army for providing food for animals in this hard time.
