Ronaldinho has delivered a cruel snub to Lionel Messi by claiming that Kylian Mbappe is the one current footballer he'd most love to play alongside.

Messi and Ronaldinho's relationship dates back to 2004 when they were team-mates together at Barcelona. The pair starred next to Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry as the Catalan giants won two La Liga titles and a Champions League.

According to ESPN, he said: "Mbappe is a player I would like to play with, I love the way he plays."That will come as a bitter blow to Messi, who has previously spoken about the incredible impact Ronaldinho had on Barcelona when he arrived from PSG in 2003. "Ronaldinho was responsible for the change in Barca," he said. "It was a bad time and the change that came about with his arrival was amazing. "In the first year, he didn’t win anything but people fell in love with him.
