Schoolchildren have been leading poignant tributes for an "amazing" teacher killed in the Reading terror attack. James Furlong, who taught at The Holt School in Wokingham, was confirmed as one of the victims of the incident in Forbury Gardens on Saturday evening.
Two others died and three were left injured before the suspect, 25-year-old Khairi Saadallah, was arrested. Students of Mr Furlong have been paying emotional tributes to their teacher, speaking of how he "always went the extra mile for everyone".
One described how supportive he was and how he "wanted equality for all, regardless of race, sexuality, national origin or gender." Students at the Holt School will light candles and lay flowers in memory of Mr Furlong.
