The Reading terror suspect has been accused of shouting "Allahu Akbar" and stabbing three friends to death with a large kitchen knife bought from a supermarket.
Khairi Saadallah, 25, is alleged to have purchased the kitchen knife the day before the attack. Libyan refugee Saadallah did not enter any pleas as new allegations emerged when he appeared in court on Monday.
He is charged with murdering James Furlong, 36, David Wails, 49, and Joseph Ritchie-Bennett, 39, with a large kitchen knife in Forbury Gardens shortly before 7pm on June 20.
History teacher Mr Furlong and Mr Ritchie-Bennett, a US citizen, were each stabbed once in the neck while scientist Mr Wails was stabbed once in his back.
