An extremely rare coin is selling for around £60,000 on eBay which marks the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The Battle of Hastings was fought between the Norman-French army of William, the Duke of Normandy and an English army under the Anglo-Saxon King Harold Godwinson beginning the Norman conquest in England.
As it is an extremely important of part of English history, a 50p coin marking the battle is flogging for an absolute fortune on the eBay website.
According to the seller, it’s extremely rare, “one of a kind” and still in very good condition for anyone to buy. But ChangeChecker claims there are, in fact, 6.7 million of the coin in circulation since it was issued in the UK back in 2016.
