It's been quite a week for Valorant. Riot Games new 5-vs-5 tactical shooter launched a closed beta on Tuesday and instantly the game started to break records.
In a short space of time, the first-person hero shooter had 1.7 million concurrent viewers on Twitch with over 34 million hours watched.
The launch put past Twitch events, such as the Fortnite Black Hole, on ice. It's clear then, that with Valorant, Riot Games have potentially something truly special on their hands, and the game isn't even out yet.
The creators of League of Legends plan to launch the game official later this Summer. For the time being, it's only streamers, content creators and a few select press types with access to the game.
