Raging beer thieves launch empty kegs through pub windows after would-be heist goes wrong

dailyrecord.co.ukbooze heist.The would-be robbers attempted to make off with barrels left out for collection by the The Twa Tams in Perth.However, the hapless bunch did not realise the kegs were empty and descended on the premises at around 8.20pm on Saturday, March 13.After realising their mistake four of the group fled, but a fifth lout hurled the receptacle and shattered the bar's antique stained glass windows.Pub owner, Sandy Stirton, 33, says the incident is "devastating" as he and his staff had been working hard to renovate the pub for reopening when restrictions ease."Obviously we are absolutely gutted," he said."It's devastating, absolutely horrible."If a member of staff had been in at the time it would have been terrifying."Thankfully nobody was.
