Fox News anchor Bret Baier will be staying with the channel for years to come. The 6 p.m. Special Report anchor has signed a five-year contract extension with the cable news channel.
He will also continue to serve as the channel's chief political anchor, leading election nights and other political coverage.
Baier last signed a contract extension in 2019. His new deal will keep him at Fox News into 2026. He is one of the channel's most high-profile news anchors, and has held on to his 6 p.m.
perch even as the channel has slowly added more opinion and panel shows into its lineup. Most recently, Fox announced plans to replace its 7 p.m.
