Queen can 'relate to her fellow Brits like never before' after suffering Covid

Queen’s battle with Covid has now made her able to “relate” with Brits after going through symptoms and sacrificing time with family, according to an expert.Her Majesty, 95, tested positive for the virus last Sunday and has since postponed virtual engagements while she recovers from mild cold-like symptoms.

However, the Queen was able to have a telephone audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday. Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter believes Her Majesty contracting the virus has now made her “able to relate to her fellow Brits”.Ms Arbiter drew parallels, while admitting you cannot compare, to the Queen Mother’s experience of going through the war when German bombs hit people’s homes as well as the Palace.She continued to mention how the Queen has had to go through similar experiences as members of the public as they were both forced into restrictions on seeing family and under strict protocols for funerals.The world watched as the Queen sat alone wearing a facemask as her husband Prince Philip was laid to rest in April last year.Speaking in her column on 9Honey, Ms Arbiter, said: “Like many, the Queen has sacrificed time with her family in order to protect herself and others.“Expected to observe the same regulations as everyone else, she's limited her movements, adapted to conducting engagements via Zoom and even endured the agony of a funeral constrained by harsh and inhumane rules.“Throughout it all, she's served as a beacon of stability and her consistent presence during what has been a harrowing time has brought comfort to many.
