The Blues are keen to extend his five-year stay at Stamford Bridge but Rudiger furiously snubbed Chelsea's latest contract offer in December, as he wants to double his £100k-a-week wages.Thomas Tuchel had offered an increased salary of £140,000 but it is believed the German international was outraged at the dismal offer.
Rudiger feels is one of the top players at the club and therefore is demanding a wage that reflects his seniority.Though it appears there had been a breakthrough.
