Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Princess Diana's ex-protection officer 'baffled' over Harry's Netherland safety claims

Princess Diana has said he is "baffled" by Prince Harry's apparent claim that the Netherlands is safer than the UK.Former MET inspector Ken Wharfe has said the Invictus Games, where the Duke of Sussex is set to attend, is far more dangerous than the site of Prince Philip's memorial service.

Wharfe said that Harry would have been much safer at home than he is in the Netherlands, with the Duke of Sussex snubbing the Royal Family just ten days before announcing his presence at the Invictus Games.

The sports competition, which is held for the injured or sick military personnel, is a "more of a risk" than visiting London, Wharfe said.Harry did not attend the memorial service for grandfather Philip due to concerns over his security, but Wharfe is puzzled as to why the Duke believes he is safer at Invictus than he is in the UK.Wharfe said: "I'm baffled about why Harry thinks he would be safer in the Netherlands than in the UK.
