London Grammar have announced a new remix collection, which is also set to feature brand new music from the trio.‘London Grammar – The Remixes’ is a 16-track collection and will be released on July 21 via Ministry Of Sound. It follows the band’s ‘California Soil’ LP from 2021.Alongside reworks of the band’s tracks from the likes of Jamie Jones and Joris Voorn, it will also feature brand new music from the trio in collaboration with CamelPhat and SebastiAn.Discussing the release, vocalist Hannah Reid said: “All three of us grew up listening to electronic music.  I remember buying CDs from a vending machine at Fabric.

Record Store Day 2023 kicked off earlier today (April 22) with vinyl fans descending on UK record shops around the country.A number of limited-edition and special releases were made available over-the-counter at over 260 participating stores, with many customers queuing since the early hours.The 1975, Blur, Pixies, U2, London Grammar, Madonna, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Foals, Donna Summer and Björk all released vinyl as part of the 2023 event.Taylor Swift, who was last year announced as the first-ever global ambassador of Record Store Day, released ‘folklore: the long pond studio sessions’ on vinyl for the first time today, with many fans taking to social media to celebrate grabbing the limited-edition record.“Still can’t believe she is mine,” said one fan, posing with the vinyl.

Gengahr have announced their upcoming fourth album ‘Red Sun Titans’ and shared new single ‘In The Moment’ along with details of a UK tour.‘In The Moment’ is the second single from the album, following the comeback track ‘The Ladder‘, which was released back in February.“‘In The Moment’ reflects upon the necessity to break away from our daily routine and create meaningful memories,” said frontman Felix Bushe. “As much as sunny days and laughter with friends, ‘In The Moment’ celebrates the late hours without inhibition, where dreams lead and tomorrow lingers.”Bushe also shared that new album ‘Red Sun Titans’ is a record “caught in between two worlds”, and “sits at that crossroads where the past is still in view and to be learned from, but the future is there for the taking.”‘Red Sun Titans’ is set for release on June 9 via Liberator Music. London Grammar‘s Dot Major has spoken to NME about launching his solo career, as well as teaming up with Alex Metric for their new collaboration ‘See This Through’.The musician and electronic producer first announced his new solo venture back in January before launching with the “twisted” debut solo single ‘Bear‘ and penning the massive song ‘Hideaway’ for NME’s recent C23 mixtape.Having always “done things on the side” as a member of the Nottingham-formed trio – completed by singer Hannah Reid and guitarist Dan Rothman – Major told NME that the music he was making on his own “felt quite aimless for a little while”.Although he released a few remixes around the time of the trio’s debut album ‘If You Wait’, Dot revealed that “it got a little bit lost during the second record” ‘Truth Is A Beautiful Thing‘.“I was always doing stuff – like with radio mixes, I would do them as full club mixes – so I always had my foot in the door,” he continued.However, it was performing at London’s Printworks in 2021 supporting friend SG Lewis (who he had collaborated with in 2018 on the song ‘Release’) that helped Dot to realise what he wanted to achieve with his solo music.“It was a watershed moment for me,” said Dot, who added that the idea first came about when the pair were at Dot’s house party. “We were wasted really late at night and I was playing him a beat that I had made on a Swedish drum machine.“He was like, ‘Dude, you’ve got to do this at 1am at Printworks before 2manydjs’.

Naman Ramachandran Coldplay and Natalie Imbruglia paid fulsome tribute to Olivia Newton-John, who died last week, at London’s Wembley Stadium on Tuesday evening. Imbruglia sang Newton-John’s part of hit song “Summer Nights” from “Grease,” while Coldplay’s Chris Martin sang John Travolta’s part with Jacob Collier joining him during the chorus. Newton-John had played Sandy and Travolta Danny in the 1978 film.Earlier, Imbruglia and Coldplay also performed “Torn,” Imbruglia’s debut single, which was first recorded in 1993 as “Burned” in Danish by Lis Sørensen, followed in 1994 by Ednaswap, and in 1996 by Trine Rein.It was the third Wembley play date for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour.

Ride are set to join Richard Ashcroft at this year’s South Facing Festival.Back in March, it was announced that the former Verve frontman would make a headline appearance at the festival at Crystal Palace Bowl on Saturday, August 6.Now, Ride have been announced as Ashcroft’s “special guests” on the day, alongside Steve Lamacq, BDRMM, Tess Parks and Alan McGee.At the event, Ride will celebrate the 30th anniversary release their classic 1990 debut album ‘Nowhere’ and will perform the album in full at the event.South Facing Festival, which launched last year, runs between July 29 and August 21.
