MMA fighter knocks out opponent by picking him up and performing WWE-style body slam
MMA is known for producing some iconic knockouts, but one fighter has taken inspiration from the WWE with an insane body slam to finish his opponent.Unlike boxing, where the rules are extremely strict, anything goes in sport of MMA, with the octagon the hub for the weird and wonderful.Jorge Masvidal famously stopped Ben Askren with a flying knee, while Brown Pinas hit the headlines for a spinning elbow knockout back in 2018, as fighters continue to find innovative ways to catch their opponents off guard. But this is one of the first instances of a WWE inspired takedown, leading to a brutal stoppage.Russian MMA star Khamzat Magomadov was already cruising to victory against his opponent, but just as his victim was holding on, the eventual winner picked him up and flipped him around in the air.The opponent was helpless in the air before being slammed down, when the fight was eventually stopped despite the referee allowing seven extra punches to be landed.Clearly worse for wear, Magomadov's opponent was helpless on the floor as he came to terms with what had just happened, before being slammed in the face on multiple occasions. The fight was over, but discussions had just begun as commentators were in amazement for what had just been produced, raising the question as to whether more stars may opt for a similar approach. The next UFC fight night is on March 19, with rising star Paddy Pimblett fighting on the undercard of Volkov v Aspinall, and the Liverpool local is known for pulling off a surprise move himself. The 27-year-old may still be asserting himself in the world of MMA, but his recent rise to fame has even seen him linked with fighting Jake Paul or Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor shares fan's tattoo inked under bra - but it's absolutely dreadful
Conor McGregor has shared a failed tattoo which a fan has inked under their bra-line in dedication to the UFC legend. The Notorious has gained a legion of fans throughout his rise in the MMA and boxing scenes, and now sits on a massive 44.3million Instagram followers. His supporters come from far and wide and some have such an extreme obsession with him that they get him permanently branded on their body. That is exactly what a woman from Uruguay in South America has done. But one look at the tattoo and she may be wishing it was one of the temporary ones you used to stick on as a child. The ink is simply the Irishman's name but the letter 'g' in McGregor isn't capitalised as it should be.It also elicits memories of classic Microsoft typeface Comic Sans, which is widely regarded as the worst font available and has been the subject of repeated mockery online.McGregor himself seemed happy enough with the tattoo under her black bra, though. What's the worst sports tattoo you have seen? Vladimir Putin's security stepped in after Conor McGregor actions during meeting
Vladimir Putin’s security was once forced to step in after Conor McGregor made a grave error during their meeting.Legendary UFC fighter McGregor is not often told what to do - nor is he easily scared - having fought some of the most dangerous MMA fighters on the planet throughout his career and ended up the victor. But meeting the fearsome Russian president, who has now governed the nation for a combined 18 years, brought out a brief moment of fear from the Irishman. It came when ‘The Notorious’ visited Moscow for the 2018 World Cup final and met the 69-year-old ahead of France’s 4-2 win over Croatia. There, the former two-weight UFC champion was seen in a clip greeting Putin and enjoying a brief conversation. And things appeared jolly until McGregor thought he could put his arm around Putin’s shoulder for a photo, which prompted one of the Russian security staff to intervene.McGregor’s facial expression dramatically changed from excited to nervous after being warned and the pair then took the picture with the 33-year-old’s hands in front of him.Would you rather take on McGregor or Putin in the octagon? MMA fight descends into huge brawl after dispute following fighter's disqualification
Conor McGregor were unsavoury, with the Russian icon going after the Irish fighter's team members after comfortably winning inside the cage, then it was nothing compared to this.Just as the victor was set to get his hand raised, hell broke loose, with the loser appearing to rip off his strapping and hurl it towards a coaching staff member at ringside. That prompted laughter and an exchange of words, but no-one was smiling seconds later as the fighter sprinted towards the ropes and exchanged blows with the individual, and then grappled with officials as they tried in vain to calm him down.As the ring announcer futilely pleaded for calm, things eventually seemed to momentarily simmer down before kicking off again, with the fighter throwing a second bit of strapping out of ring before a man in plain clothes dived through the ropes and the pair scrapped. In the meantime the winner, who initially had tried to drag his beaten opponent - and officials - away from the melee, had clearly had enough, and simply watched on from outside the ropes as the chaos continued.Anything wrong with a good old post-bout scrap? Let us know in the comments section.By the time things settled a second time, there were multiple officials, coaches, and seemingly random individuals on the mat, with a small crowd watching on in a mixture of disgust and disbelief. The clip was posted on Twitter by @Matysek88, who has been getting attention of late for similarly bizarre posts relation to pop-MMA, another Russian-based promotion whereby people take part in fights on the back of little, or in some cases zero, MMA experience.Inter-gender bouts are also encouraged, while no restrictions are placed on the weight difference between opponents.

Jake Paul brutally urges Conor McGregor to drink calcium as his "bones are f***ing breaking"
Jake Paul has advised Conor McGregor to add more calcium to his regime because his "bones are f*****g breaking."'The Problem Child' was among the first to pillory UFC star McGregor after his trilogy fight opposite Dustin Poirier last July ended when 'The Notorious' broke his tibia (shinbone) at the end of the opening round.Paul, 25, even had a $100,000 (£73,500) 'Sleepy McGregor' chain custom-made in an effort to rile up his would-be rival, having repeatedly teased the prospect of fighting the Irishman in recent years.Appearing at a press conference to promote Katie Taylor's upcoming lightweight title fight against his fighter, Amanda Serrano, Paul insisted McGregor would have to earn the chance to fight him in future."I don't give a s**t about Conor," the Most Valuable Promotions face told Mirror Fighting at Monday's press conference."I just want to fight him and smack him in the head - in that sense I hope that he can win some fights so that we can actually fight."But the guy is a grown-a*s man, he needs to figure out his life; it seems to be falling apart from what I can tell."It seems no coincidence that McGregor's fortunes in the Octagon have suffered just when his other enterprises and business ventures outside of it have flourished. The Irishman's Proper No. Twelve whiskey has proved a major hit, leading McGregor to more recently launch his Forged Irish stout, regularly uploading clips to social media of him enjoying his own wares.Do you think Jake Paul will ever fight Conor McGregor? Let us know in the comments section."Obviously, everything's through a lens, we don't know what he's going through actually," Paul added when asked about McGregor's drinking habits.“That’s clearly one of his many problems.
