Parking bans introduced on nine routes through rural Perthshire to help clear blocked roads

Perthshire. The move is to stop “inconsiderate drivers” blocking roads in the region by abandoning their vehicles on narrow roads.

On Friday, Perth and Kinross Council said the restrictions would be brought in to force from Saturday, August 22. Indoor care home visiting banned as COVID-19 cases continue to riseThe roads involved are:• C450 Kinloch Rannoch to Tomphubil• A827 Aberfeldy Road, Kenmore• C451 from the junction with the A827 Kenmore to Aberfeldy road• Pier Road, Kenmore• C448 Fortingall to Bridge of Balgie• B487 Calvine to Trinafour• A923 Blairgowrie to Dunkeld• C430 Loch Clunie to Mains of Clunie• C452 Foss to Pitlochry.The ban includes the carriageway, the verge and the footpath on all the routes.Punters evacuated after fire.
