The release date for the 2020 Overwatch Anniversary Event looks to have been leaked this weekend and assuming the insider is correct, it might be coming sooner than expected.

The details come courtesy of a post on the Competitive Overwatch Subreddit (Via Dexerto ). Reddit user 'Bloomer_ow' has stated that a new PTR patch will be released this week.

PTR patch 1.48 will be deployed on Overwatch's live servers Tuesday, May 12 and alongside this, the new Anniversary event will go live also.

So to reiterate, the leaks suggest the 2020 Overwatch Anniversary event release date is Tuesday, May 12. Assuming this is correct, it will be deployed for all platforms simultaneously, bringing the event to PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch
