The idea of Diablo 2 Remasterered seemed all but dead and buried, given that the original game's project and design lead David Brevik, had openly suggested that such a project might be too difficult. "They have their work cut out for them," he said in an interview with the Diabloii.net podcast back in 2017. "I don’t believe a lot of the assets survived." However, sources close to Actugaming (via PC Gamer ) are now suggesting that Activision is actively working on a Diablo 2 remaster alongside several more projects.
