Easter Road in the city's Leith area at around 4:25pm on Monday, July 12. Three police vans were dispatched to the scene as the busy road was shut down following the two-car smash.
Two fire crews also dashed to Easter Road amid the chaos as one car was left on its roof following the collision with a white van.An eyewitness told Edinburgh Live onlookers had drag one person from the overturned vehicle before emergency services arrived.It's understood one person was rushed to hospital but the extent of their injuries is currently unknown.The road remained closed for more than an hour while the wreckage was removed.
