dailyrecord.co.ukPAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happensCops are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 7.30pm near the treeline on the course’s 12th hole.A Police Scotland spokesman said: “An 18-year-old man was seriously assaulted by three youths within the grounds of Barshaw Golf Club on Wednesday evening.“He sustained a head injury which required hospital treatment in the attack.“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.He added: “We are carrying out enquiries in the area, including checking CCTV.”It is understood officers are following a positive line of enquiry.Officers have also issued a call to parents and carers to be aware of where their children are after a spike in youth.
