Artist helps local charity to brighten up train station in Hartwood village

iOS - Android She told Lanarkshire Live : “You see these adopted stations as you go through them on the train and they have planters with flowers in them, that work is done by the adopters of the station. “So that’s what we have done, we’ve incorporated it into our charity Hartwood Greenspace.“We thought it would be quite nice to have some pictorial evidence of things that had happened at the station.“The station originally went all the way up to Hartwood Hospital – the old asylum.

The majority of people living in the village all worked in the hospital."Local artist Jack Gibney, 62, does a lot of paintings around about the village and he's donated two of them which are now up in the station.
