Work has begun on the A62 Oldham Road as part of a £5m project to improve three key routes across the city.Town hall chiefs say despite national lockdown the work "is essential, to ensure that supplies, healthcare staff, equipment as well as emergency vehicles can get to where they are needed." To reduce disruption the work has been split into five phases with the first section, from Failsworth to Newton Heath, completed last week.
