Police officers have rushed to the scene of a 'possible shooting' in Manchester. The incident is reported to have happened on Briscoe Lane in Newton Heath, Manchester, shortly before 1.50pm today.
The road has been shut while police investigate the incident, although there are no reports of any injuries or arrests. A member of the public is believed to have reported a firearm discharge to the police, the Manchester Evening News reports.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at 1.50pm this afternoon to Briscoe Lane to a possible firearms discharge. "The scene is currently being secured and being investigated. "There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
