murdered at least three people is on the run after managing to escape from custody. Dominic Taddeo, 64, was a contract killer in the early 1980s in upstate New York, USA, and was sentenced to 54 years in prison in 1992 for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisation (RICO) conspiracy charges.
He had recently been transferred from a mid-security facility in the town of Coleman, Florida, to a halfway house for inmates scheduled for release in Wildwood, 50 miles from Orlando.
Bureau of Prison records show the 64-year-old went to an approved appointment on March 28, but never returned, despite just being a year out from his scheduled release, the Democrat & Chronicle reports.
It is the second time he has slipped the net of authorities after he skipped bail in 1987 and remained on the run for two years.
