Singer Tom Grennan rushed to hospital after 'unprovoked attack and robbery' in New York

Tom Grennan has suffered a series of horrific injuries after being subjected to an "unprovoked attack and robbery" on Wednesday 20 April.The 26 year old singer, who rose to fame for being the guest vocalist on Chase & Status's All Goes Wrong song, has since cancelled his Washington DC gig as he takes time to recover.

His manager John Dawkins announced the news and gave his 260,000 followers an update on his health on Instagram following the attack. "In the early hours of this morning after Tom's New York show he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and robbery outside a bar in Manhattan," he wrote.

"Despite this Tom is in good spirits but needs to temporarily recuperate whilst doctors assess his ability to continue with his touring." The statement went on: "Tom is desperate not to let anyone down, however we have taken the precautionary decision to postpone the Washington show tomorrow to a later date, with details to follow." It added: "We wish to thank Tom's incredible US fans for their support and understanding." Celebrity friends were quick to comment on the news as Jennifer Falconer wrote: "Oh my….Tom.

I truly hope you’re ok. Sending you lots of love x," alongside a red heart emoji. Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore shared: "OH God Tom I’m just seeing this!
