City had already secured the Premier League North title after second-place Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest in midweek. The City team have lost just three matches all season while bottom club Newcastle have won just three.
William Dickson and Nico O’Reilly netted hat-tricks for the hosts on Saturday afternoon while Carlos Borges and Josh Adam both grabbed braces.
