BBC Radio 4 presenter Nick Robinson has apologised for the use of a racial slur during the Today programme.Harry Enfield, who was a guest on the segment, used an offensive term when debating the use of blackface in comedy with writer Ava Vidal.Speaking in regards to one of GH Elliott’s characters from the 1930s, 59-year-old Enfield said: “Obviously, Al Jolson or GH Elliott who played the Chocolate Coloured C**n, in the thirties, they perpetuated the myth of the happy negro, who was very happy to sing under the crack of the whip.
