Dizzee Rascal spoke to Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Tuesday morning. When asked by Piers about the Black Lives Matter movement, Dizzee said he did not feel it would be right to talk about it there and then.
Piers then accused Dizzee of being "aggressive", to which Dizzee calmly replied: "This is what happens, I become the aggressive black man." Viewers took to Twitter to slam Piers for perpetuating a stereotype based on the fact Dizzee did not want to discuss the issue because Piers "never lets people speak".
The purpose of Dizzee's interview was to discuss "drive-in raves" which are replacing live raves so as to adhere to social distancing.
