An NHS nurse battling coronavirus has told how she begged colleagues to keep her alive so she could remain a mum to her two kids.
Kelly Ward, 35, fell ill on a weekend shift at Bradford Royal Infirmary – and was rushed back in as a patient the next morning.
She wrote in a diary for The Sun how she felt “really weak” and was “literally sweating and freezing my way through the night.” The next morning she was taken to hospital by fiancé Ryan Golding, 34 – where she tested positive for coronavirus.
