This Morning viewers were left flooding social media with messages of condolences as the show paid an emotional tribute to Sam Rubin following his death.
The programme returned on Monday (May 13) for the first time since the 64-year-old's sudden death was announced by his colleagues in the US.
The American veteran journalist "regularly broadcast live" into the ITV daytime show over the years, and was also an anchor for KTLA news in the US.
They were the first to comment on the loss of Rubin and said it is "profoundly saddened" by the news of his death. "Sam was a giant in the local news industry and the entertainment world, and a fixture of Los Angeles morning television for decades,” a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, said.
