BBC Breakfast reporter Naga Munchetty has taken to Twitter to call out a troll who mistakenly thought she was presenting the early morning programme.Ben Thompson, who wore a suit, and Victoria Derbyshire, who wore her hair in loose curls with a pink high-neck top, were on the show and the latter interviewed Secretary of State Grant Shapps. She grilled him thoroughly over P&O boss Peter Hebblethwaite after he admitted he broke the law after not consulting over the mass-sacking of 800 workers.
Viewers called him out on social media as a “hypocrite” after Shapps said he should resign, due to the fact that his party breached lockdown rules several times throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. One hater wrote: “Just had to turn Naga [on BBC Breakfast] off again.
Interviewing Grant Shapps, then starts the normal childish: ‘Na, na, na, let’s blame you’. So tiresome.”Unfortunately for the troll, they had made a fatal error as Naga was replaced by Victoria Derbyshire on the show, alongside fellow reporter Ben Thompson.Calmly, Naga put the naysayer in their place: “Sally, I'm not at work today.
Maybe you should turn off your default setting of hate instead? Have a lovely day,” and signed off with a kiss.Fans were amused at the blunder and sent their own replies to the troll.
