A murder probe has been launched after a 67-year-old woman was found dead in a house in Manchester. Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to Westminster Street, in Levenshulme, at 8.30pm on Thursday night.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are searching for 41-year-old Leroy Planton who is presumed to have lived at the same address as the deceased.
Greater Manchester Police are concerned for his welfare and have appealed for anyone with information about Planton’s whereabouts to come forward. "If you see Leroy, please contact police immediately and do not approach him," they said.
