She is locked into a contract with Community Energy Scheme for 25 years and wants action taken to remove the panels from the property, StokeonTrentLive reports.Brittany had been on the waiting list for a council house with Stoke-on-Trent City Council since 2018 when she moved into the three-bedroom semi in December 2020.She claims she was told that she had to accept a council property with solar panels or be put back onto the waiting list.The mum-of-two said: “The panels were not saving me any money.
I was still paying through the roof for electricity. I don’t see the point of them being on.“It has been stressing me out. I’m a single mum - it’s just shocking.
I am worried in case debt collectors come knocking on my door.“I’ve got autism so I have problems in social situations. I struggle to read body language as well.
