Peaches has shared a new remix of Romy‘s song ‘Did I’, marking the first collaboration between the pair – listen below.The thumping, electro-tinged rework of the track – the original of which appears on Romy’s 2023 debut solo album, ‘Mid Air’ – features an exclusive new verse from Peaches herself. Last week saw the two artists perform the cut together live onstage in New York City.“Peaches is an absolute icon and has inspired me in so many ways over the years,” said Romy in a statement.“Peaches was one of the first gigs I ever went to and I’ve never forgotten her energy onstage, her lyrics, [her] production and how she continuously pushes boundaries for the better.”She continued: “With this project, I wanted to celebrate queer dance music and I couldn’t think of an artist who embodies this more than Peaches.

Glastonbury has announced the stacked line-up for the Woodsies Area, with artists including Kim Gordon and The Vaccines being added to the bill.The Worthy Farm festival shared its official 2024 line-up for Glastonbury last month– with Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA confirmed as headlining the iconic Pyramid Stage this summer, while Shania Twain performs in the legends slot on the Sunday.In the time since, organisers have been counting down the weeks to this year’s instalment by gradually announcing the artists playing at other stages around the site. This kicked off with news of new artists set to headline the Acoustic Stage, followed by details on those who have joined the Field Of Avalon line-up, Shangri-La area, Fields of Avalon, Silver Hayes, The Glade and more.Now, the stacked line-up for the Woodsies area has been revealed, with a host of artists being added to the bill.Joining previously revealed artists Jamie xx, Romy, James Blake and Sleaford Mods is ‘90s alt-rock legend and former Sonic Youth icon, Kim Gordon, who recently dropped her critically acclaimed second solo album, ‘The Collective’.Also joining the listing for the 2024 Woodsies stage includes The Vaccines, as well as Lambrini Girls, Voice of Baceprot and The K’s.

Glastonbury‘s dance music area Silver Hayes has announced the lineup of its four stages including Charli XCX, Romy, Kelly Lee Owens, Shygirl and more.Silver Hayes, which will host four stages across four days, will “unite future-facing design with musical talent” with the field’s first indoor venue.It will see over 150 artists take to the stage, with the likes of Charli XCX, Romy, Kelly Lee Owens and Shygirl set to make an appearance. They will be joined by acts such as Bonobo, Joy Orbison, I.

Romy and Sampha have teamed up for a collaborative cover of André 3000‘s ‘Me & My (To Bury Your Parents)’ – listen below.The pair recorded a rendition of the former OutKast member and soloist’s song for the most recent edition of Sampha’s Apple Music 1 show ‘Wave Therapy’.Sampha spoke to Romy of The xx during a studio session when the latter was recording her debut solo album ‘Mid Air’, which was released last September. The two friends opened up about grief and the loss of their parents, as well as sharing the meanings behind particular songs.Additionally, they joined forces for a cover of André 3000’s emotional 2018 ballad ‘Me & My (To Bury Your Parents)’.In a statement, Sampha said: “That song really hit me deep as I’d already made my own song ‘No One Knows Me (Like The Piano)’ which was about my mother and there was times where I questioned releasing and writing a song that was so personal to me.“And hearing one of my favourite musicians meditate on his loss of losing his parents made me feel OK to express myself in this way.”He added: “Not necessarily everybody has to do but that’s how I felt like processing some of my grief, and I feel like Romy has been in a similar place so it was a special song to cover together.”In a four-star review of Sampha’s Mercury-winning debut album, 2017’s ‘Process’, NME described ‘No One Knows Me (Like The Piano)’ as the “saddest” track on the record.

Romy has told NME The xx are back in the studio working on a “wide open” and “exciting new album”.The singer, who released her debut solo LP ‘Mid-Air’ last year, gave an update about the band’s long awaited new record at the Beyond The Valley festival in Australia.When asked about being back in the studio with her bandmates, Romy said: “Yeah it’s fun, it’s quite different being in the studio with The xx.“I think Oliver [Sim] and Jamie [xx] and I have all tried new things and learned a lot from different projects and I think that’s quite healthy to be like, ‘What have you learned? What should we do now?’ And I think it’s quite wide open and it’s exciting to be starting again in a way. Paramore have announced the artists that will be featured on their “almost remix” album, ‘Re: This Is Why’.The band have been teasing a release to coincide with the first anniversary of the album’s title track since last week. They confirmed the release of a companion piece to ‘This Is Why’, featuring remixes, reimaginings and rewritten tracks, as well as collaborations. It will land on Friday (October 6).They have now released the tracklist along with every collaborator that will be featured on ‘Re: This Is Why’.

The festival will run from December 28, 2023 to January 1, 2024 at Barunah Plains in Hesse, Victoria.Leading the line-up are Australian electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL, British drill rapper Central Cee and South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou.

Jessie Ware, Confidence Man and Romy are among the acts lined up for the autumn edition of Homobloc in Manchester.The queer block party is set to return to Depot Mayfield on November 4 and, per a press release, is set to welcome “artists, performers, spectators and clubbers to come together and present one of the greatest dancefloor coalitions of the LGBTQ+ community”.Alongside Ware and Confidence Man, Peaches is also set to headline, with further headline DJ sets coming from The Blessed Madonna, David Morales, Avalon Emerson, Horse Meat Disco, LSDXOXO, salute, Sherelle and I. Jordan.The event is set to take over the full expanse of Depot Mayfield, across three main stages in the venue itself, plus additional stages along the street and in the Star & Garter pub located next door.Meanwhile, for the first time in its history, Homobloc is expanding to the venue’s roof space, which will host an array of programming, including cinema screenings, in-session podcasts and talks, acoustic performances, pop-up shops and more.“It’s with great pleasure we unveil the most adventurous Homobloc line-up to date,” promoter Rod Connolly said in a press release.
