Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly once made an 'inappropriate' request to the Queen that was immediately rejected, an expert has claimed. After the couple's 2018 wedding, the pair were hunting for a house with Harry's two-bedroom cottage in Kensington Palace not providing enough room.According to the Sunday Times, the couple went to the Queen and asked if they could live at Windsor Castle - a request that was refused.A report by Roya Nikkhah states: "The couple are understood to have set their hearts at first on Windsor Castle, and are believed to have asked the Queen if living quarters could be made available after their marriage."Instead, the pair were offered Frogmore Cottage which they lived in together until they left for America in 2020.

Speaking to the Express, Royal Expert Hugo Vickers reasoned why the Queen may have decided to deny their request, saying it might not have been "entirely appropriate".He said: "There are empty bedrooms and suites in the private apartments within Windsor Castle which the Sussexes may have had their eye on, or perhaps some former living quarters in the castle grounds converted into other things."But I can see how it might not be entirely appropriate to have a young family living there."The couple now live in a beautiful Californian mansion with their two children Archie and Lilibet.
