Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has stated he “100 per cent” believes that the rivalry between Leeds and Manchester United would not stop Kalvin Phillips from signing for the Red Devils.
The Yorkshire-born midfielder will not play again until at least February after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury, but that hasn’t stopped the likes of Liverpool and United both registering interest.
Although a January switch is very unlikely, plenty of clubs will be enquiring about the 26-year-old in the summer, by which time he will have two years left on his contract at Leeds.
The Whites may be tempted to cash in for Phillips and should a new manager take the helm at Old Trafford, the England star would be a statement acquisition.
