The European Court of Justice has already decided on a ruling meaning the Madeleine McCann prime suspect will not be released early from prison, a German politician has said.
Germany is treating the Maddie case as a murder investigation, with convicted paedophile Christian Brueckner, 43, the chief suspect.
Brueckner is currently in prison in the northern German city of Kiel for drugs offences. Now, in an exclusive interview, Ulrich Watermann, 64, the parliamentary group's spokesman on domestic policy for the Social Party of Germany (SPD) in Lower Saxony, says the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has already made a decision which will ultimately keep Brueckner behind bars.
