What we were is an extension of ourselves, and my sloppy grey hoodie - while serving me well throughout previous lockdowns - will always evoke a time of fear, uncertainty and confinement.
It also has an effect on your mindset; yes loungewear is comfortable, but doesn’t fill you with purpose and dynamism. That’s not to say that loungewear hasn’t evolved immeasurably from the sloppy tracksuits of Harry Enfield’s Wayne and Waynetta Slob.
